Investor grievances

The capital market can grow only when investors find it safe for them to invest and they are assured that the rules governing the market are fair and just to all the players. MPSEL has established an Investor Service Department to redress investors' grievances. MPSEL was originally set up as an Association of Persons in 1919, with around 150 broking members. It was granted permanent recognition under the provisions of the Securities Contract (Regulation) Act, 1956 (“SCRA”), by the Government of India in 1988. MPSEL currently has 208 broker members, including some of the leading brokering houses in India. Around 300 companies, including some of the leading corporate of the country are listed on MPSEL.

Protecting the interests of the investors dealing in securities, is one of the main objectives of MPSE. The grievances of investors against listed companies and MPSE Trading Members are redressed by MPSE.
